In no man’s sky you first start off on an unfamiliar planet with no idea who you are or how you got there. You then proceed to explore the planet and work on repairing your spaceship to find answers among the stars. You run into species that are foreign to you, and learn all the basics including harvesting things like carbon and how to buy and sell things.
As you proceed through the game, there’s multiple story lines and side quests for you to go through. The main story line take around 30 hours to complete. There also plenty of side tasks to get items and work on improving your base.
Overall I LOVE this game. The story is engaging and fun with occasional twists and mysteries to solve. There’s even a few choices for you to make. I love the alien species and getting to know the lore behind them and learning their languages. As I mentioned before there’s plenty to do in this game from expeditions and quests to just exploring on your own, so it never gets boring. With all the content it contains I feel like there’s something for everyone in this game.
My favorite part of this game would have to be all the planets and galaxies you can discover. They’re AI generated so there’s an infinite amount of them. This whole concept is really cool to me and is what drew me to the game in the first place. The planets are so pretty and unique and there’s a wide variety of terrains, weather, flora, and fauna. I never get tired of exploring in this game.
I think this game does a really good job of transporting you to another universe and keeps you engaged in it. It is multiplayer so if you’re looking for a great space themed game to play alone or with friends I strongly recommend no man’s sky.
